Creationship;
The relationship between you and art

Beliefs shape the artist's vision
The vessel of the body is the art of our consciousness
Truthful expression transforms life

I work alone, in communion with a space that knows much more than me, usually after a good hike. The images I paint are not native to any specific culture, nor of any known religious heritage, but I am moved from excitement of possibility to create. I am listening to the information ocean that we all share beyond time and story.

Creativity is truthful communication. Truth grows intimacy; a seeing into your own collective Self through relationship to others and to art. Art, at its finest, can be relationship to your truest Self, the muse is a face of God.

Art is discipline and playful focused love; like relationship. Hold a space of emptiness if you want to create something new. Change is the rhythm of creativity and conscious relating. Cultivate silence to listen to something larger than yourself. Listen more and believe less of what you think you think. Inside the breath is where I meet the muse. The emptiness is my lover and before we exhale we birth something untamed that surprises us both. Curiosity leads me to the edge. The muse lives over the ocean cliff. It is here, if I am lucky and don't become distracted, she will push me over.

• We love the moment when something beyond us sweeps through. What is that wild wind that brings a work of art? How can we capture it? We can't, it is elusive and untamed and that is why we love it, we are not.
• What is it that I experience in the moment the brush hits to when a piece is finished? Nothing. If I do it right- just breath, listening, and amazingly conscious aliveness.
• Risk allowing more space into yourself.
• Accept that your art does not identify who you are.
• Be willing to change direction quickly without throwing a fit.
• Notice that it is not you creating, only listening and then birthing through your vessel of skill or understanding.
• Accept mistakes with the same grace as the beautiful artwork that comes through you!
• All learning and opening is the artist's duty. Allow life to live through you, not destroy you.
• The artist is healthy, at peace with their limits, and creates from love and curiosity rather than torture and neurosis.
• Yes, there are new ideas. Whoever said there weren't never had one. Every time we experience a wind of pure creation through ourselves, we are healed on many levels. Life is being born every second.
