The lovers were painted my first year I moved to San Francisco to begin my new life as an illustrator after art school. I began a relationship with a very creative person that would last for the next 8 years and I was intrigued by the interaction of the masculine and feminine in a sexual relationship. I was exploring the terrain of chemistry, creativity, relating, communication and the human heart.
