Night Birth

This is the beginning of painting large and creating monumental pieces. I painted this piece mostly outdoors in West Sedona at my small home under the apricot tree. To me, she represents women's relationship with the dark night, the moon, the irrational, the unconscious. The horse and the bird are messengers. The horse a connector to the earth, the bird, a connector to sky.
